The following positions are OPEN and need filling immediately. Only serious candidates, please.
President & Vice President (includes, but not limited to): - Oversees all park needs/operations - Presides over board meetings and sets agenda - Handle all Putnam County Parks & Rec communications - Ensures county maintains park grounds as needed - KEY HOLDER: Assist in ensuring access to bathrooms, equipment, and gates while park is in use. - Attends all Babe Ruth District meetings - Communicates with Babe Ruth Headquarters/ Southeast Region Representative - Responsible for registration events - Verifies and completes all baseball/softball team rosters - Resolves coach and parent disputes/complaints - Responsible for keeping all charters, state dues, and insurance current - Communicates regularly with commissioners regarding schedules, referees/umpires, parent disputes, etc. - Ensures board member presence while park is in MYSA use - Communicates with Concession Manager to ensure that concession is staffed for all home games - Confirms that all referees/umpires/officials are paid at the end of each game - Schedules sports pictures - Orders MYSA merchandise for concession sales - Responsible for all regular season uniform orders - Assists Treasurer in securing registration payments before start of season - Orders end of season trophies - Oversees end of season awards & extra events (parades, fundraisers, etc.) - Responds to emails, calls, website, and Facebook messages
Secretary(includes, but not limited to): - Attends all scheduled board meetings/votes - Prepares/presents meeting agendas - Takes meeting notes and prepare meeting minutes - Collects all meeting sign-in sheets - Produces prints/copies of registration forms - Provide as needed media (flyers, posters, etc.) - Responsible for community outreach and communication - Responds to emails, calls, website, and Facebook messages - Creates website and social media posts under direction of board KEY HOLDER: Assists in ensuring access to bathrooms, equipment, and gates while park is in use.
Concession Manager(includes, but not limited to): - Attends all schedules board meetings/votes - Maintains cleanliness of building (including bathrooms) - Confirms bathrooms are stocked with soap/paper products and in working order (reports needed repairs to President) - Stocks and cleans concession before each game - Confirms concession is staffed and open for all home games - Pays Umpires/Referees - Liaison with paid officials (supplies with balls, equipment, drinks, etc.) - Serves as "face" of organization -- routes issues to appropriate person(s) - Supervises the running of concession stand during games/practices - Sells MYSA merchandise - Responsible for upkeep and maintenance of concession equipment (grills, fryers, coolers, etc.) - Turns in all monies to Treasurer at conclusion of games - Keeps and submits all receipts to Treasurer - Ensures all credit card transactions are processed and reported - KEY HOLDER: Assists in ensuring access to bathrooms, equipment, and gates while park is in use
Soccer Commissioner(includes, but not limited to): - Attends all scheduled board meetings/vote - Oversees all sport related operations - Assists with registrations - Oversees division of teams and coaches - Creates game schedules - Schedules and confirms referees for all games - Confirms fields are being maintained and properly prepped for games - Maintains communications with coaches; liaison from board to coaches - Resolve coach and parent disputes/concerns - Assists in recruiting volunteers and coaches - Responsible for coordinating with coaches to submit names and information to VP for uniforms/trophies - Coordinates trash pick-up with coaches and general park clean-up/work days - Ensures all equipment is in working condition - Submits new equipment orders/requests to Treasurer - Submits all receipts to Treasurer - KEY HOLDER: Assists in ensuring access to bathrooms, equipment, and gates while park is in use
The positions of Treasurer, Baseball Commissioner, and Softball Commissioner, and Member at Large will remain filled. Nominees will be selected by majority vote by current board members.
