It is critical everyone understands that we can be shut down at any time, and it be completely out of our control. In the event that this happens, after uniforms have been ordered, we will not be able to issue any credits or refunds.
All players who paid for the 2020 Spring season will be given a $20 credit off of their next season. If they choose not to play this Fall, we will still honor that credit for Spring 2021.
SOCCER: - Soccer will not be regular soccer games, unless things change by the end of the season. The program we will be providing will be a series of skills-based challenges where players will earn points for their teams against opposing teams. This will allow us to follow social distancing guidelines while still getting kids on the field and improving their soccer skills. This will also keep competitiveness of the sport, as well as allowing for more overall player participation.
BASEBALL: - Our biggest hurdle to maintain social distancing with baseball will be our dugouts. Dugouts may be expanded to the areas just outside of the dugout to allow players to distance themselves from one another. - Post game high fives will also not take place, and have already been replaced with another means of good sportsmanship.
As we look forward to returning to the fields for this fall season things will look a bit different. In order to use the park and run our sports programs, we must follow county orders to maintain and enforce social distancing, as well as several Babe Ruth guidelines including a signed Covid-19 waiver for every player and spectator. We also ask that you limit any additional visitors to the park at this time. General safety measures to be implemented are as follows: - Temperature checks as you enter the park. - Staggered game times and practices to reduce crowd sizes. - Any player with symptoms of Covid-19 and/or a positive test could result in a 2 week cancellation of practices and games for that team. - At this time masks will not be required, but are welcome. In the event that this changes, our board will review the status of our season. - Our concession stand will be limited to prepackaged items and drinks. - Plexiglass installation at concession window, as well as masked volunteers inside. - Increased bathroom cleaning schedule - Hand sanitizer will be located around the park - No opening or closing ceremonies. Coaches will be provided awards to pass out at the end of the season.
